PHYSIOFORMA IS THE UNIQUE SHAPE OF ALL CHICCO pacifiers
The shape of PhysioForma supports the correct positioning of the tongue in the child's mouth - protruding it forward and up, with the mouth closed.
This positioning of the tongue supports the physiological opening of the upper respiratory tract, thus supporting physiological breathing (through the nose). Physiological breathing is extremely important for the proper development of the child.
The position of the tongue in the mouth is also of great importance for the formation of the palate and creating space for the baby's first teeth.
THE SHAPE OF PHYSIOFORM IS:
- a thin and flexible teat base that allows for a comfortable closure of the mouth
- The head is directed upwards, which leaves room for the natural positioning of the tongue
- curved head, which evenly distributes the pressure of the tongue on the palate
- a recess on the underside of the head and fine grooves that mimic the natural shape of the palate, helping to put the tongue in the right position
The shape of PhysioForma is the result of a collaboration between the Osservatorio Chicco Research Center, experienced pediatricians and the Italian Society of Orthodontics.
