Sugar cane squalane (Ecocert) is a valuable oily substance, a derivative of squalene present in human skin and hair. Squalene is a component of human sebum (12-13%) and is found in the intercellular space. It acts as an emollient and moisturizer in the skin. As we age, the production of squalene decreases and the skin becomes dehydrated, hypersensitive and flaccid. In order to rebuild its natural level and maintain a youthful appearance, we must apply it externally. Since squalene is an unstable substance, squalane with a similar structure to squalene, but stable and biocompatible with human skin, is obtained by fermentation.

Recommended for: dry, sensitive, combination and acne skin, as a body oil, for hair and nail regeneration, for eye make-up removal.

Protects - squalane also acts as an antioxidant, as it protects the epidermis' own lipids against free radicals and UV rays, prevents the proliferation of bacteria and fungi.

Application: 5-100%. (In dermatological studies on volunteers, squalane from sugar cane "Nago" at a concentration of 100% did not show irritating or sensitizing properties).

Properties: squalane has a light, transparent consistency, is odorless, has very good sensory properties. It spreads perfectly on the surface of the skin and hair, is well absorbed and increases the transepidermal transport of active ingredients.
