Naturally, the turmeric rhizome contains only 5% of biologically active ingredients - curcuminoids, which are poorly absorbed and insoluble in water. The bioavailability of powdered turmeric extracts is low due to low absorption from the intestine, rapid degradation in the liver and low concentration in tissues. The addition of piperine from pepper does not increase active free curcuminoids in the blood. CuraMed is a liquid turmeric extract standardized to contain 98% of active curcuminoids easily soluble in water and fats, which is of great importance for bioavailability.

CuraMed has been developed in a patented new technology that encloses active curcuminoids in microscopic vesicles called micelles, which makes curcumin much more absorbable than ordinary turmeric extract, even with the addition of piperine or in the form of liposomes. One CuraMed 720 mg capsule corresponds to the consumption of approximately 12 g of curcumin extract (24 capsules of 500 mg each) or 134 g of powdered turmeric rhizome. Curcuminoids contained in turmeric are a powerful antioxidant and have a wide range of pro-health properties. Curcumin affects, among others, the areas of inflammation, muscle and joint pain, nervous, digestive and immune systems.
